This is WordBridge Publishing
The logo above has as its subtext, "en arche en o logos", in
the beginning was the Word. Indeed, one could translate this
as "at the foundation was the Word", for the Word, this Word, is that
which explains reality, makes sense of it and in fact gives it its
rationale.
The text comes from the first verse of the Book of John and refers of
course to the Son of God. WordBridge has its purpose one humble
aspect of this greater work, which is to bridge the gap between
languages and between ages. Translation is thus not only cross-language
but cross-time and cross-culture. WordBridge Publishing aims to bridge
the gap in knowledge arisen both through barriers of language and of
time. The past needs to translated into the present.
The focus, therefore, is the translation and/or publication of works of
scholarship expressive of historic Western Christendom. Current projects include:
- Common Law Investing: A
Guide for the Perplexed. This book builds on the common-law
paradigm as presented in Common-Law Conservatism and Common Law &
Natural Rights. It provides a new and simple explanation of the
workings of the modern economy, which explanation in turn serves to
guide investment strategy. The focus is on the common law as a
regime of integrated property and contract rights, established
through adjudicatory sovereignty. Freedom is then seen as the result
of commitments or obligations, and a society's capacity to engage
and fulfill obligations determines its capacity for economic growth.
The role of the state as the establisher and maintainer of
conditions suitable to this activity is highlighted, including its
role as sovereign debt and currency issuer. These factors need to be
understood in an integrative way, or they will not be understood at
all.

Revolution, and the American Revolution, using the interpretive
